Here’s what we think: Review by Headout

Wicked is more than just a musical nor is it your average fairy tale; it's an enchanting reimagining of The Wizard of Oz that delves into the lives of the witches of the West in a witty, heartwarming, and sometimes heartbreaking production that explores of friendship, love, and the power of individuality. The story follows the unlikely friendship between Elphaba, the misunderstood green-skinned witch, and Glinda, the bubbly blonde, as they navigate the complexities of Oz and challenge societal norms to discover the true meaning of good and evil. One of the longest-running shows on Broadway, this production is timeless.

"This musical prequel to The Wizard of Oz addresses surprisingly complex themes, such as standards of beauty, morality and, believe it or not, fighting fascism."

"This is the most complete, and completely satisfying, new musical I've come across in a long time."

"This musical is full of glitz and is a big Broadway spectacular; it is also a charming story with a wonderfully catchy score. 'Wicked' is satisfying in a sparkly way, and also in a storytelling way."

Death Becomes Her

I was curious to see how they were going to adapt the movie, and wondered if the dark humor would be glossed over. It didn't take long to have those concerns addressed and taken away! This is a funny show. The acting is excellent and the songs are very well done. We enjoyed every single minute. Bravo to the cast and crew! A+

Amazing experience! The show is incredible, the atmosphere on stage spilled into the seats. There were a few changes in the cast which took nothing away from the quality.

Combo: The Museum Of Broadway + American Museum of Natural History Tickets

I booked tickets directly on the Headout app, which in itself was extremely easy, once at the venue I went to the front desk and they scanned our tickets with no issues at all. The museum itself wasn't my cup of tea I enjoyed some aspects of it but I probably wouldn't reccomed the natural history museum to others. The Headout app however I would recommended for sure! I have a few more ticketed events I've booked through Headout still to do whilst we are in New York for the next week!

Combo: The Museum of Broadway + Edge Observation Deck Timed Entry Tickets

The ferry ride and self guided tours of the SOL and Ellis Island were fun. Disappointed that the ticket did not include the pedestal. I thought when I read before booking included the pedestal. The Edge was great yet windy and cold.

Aladdin

Its biggest strengths are its colorful sets, inventive choreography, and the unforgettable “magic carpet” moment, which feels genuinely magical in live theater. The show balances humor and heart well, especially through the Genie’s show-stopping numbers and Aladdin’s earnest charm. While the story stays familiar, the added songs and character moments give it fresh life, making it enjoyable for both longtime fans and first-time viewers. Overall, Aladdin is a joyful, crowd-pleasing musical that delivers fun, romance, and theatrical wonder in equal measure. ✨
