Days of Wine and Roses traces the journey of Joe, a public relations executive, and Kirsten, as they descend from social drinking to full-blown alcoholism. Their increasing dependence on alcohol strains their marriage and leads to a series of personal and professional crises. The title, inspired by a poem by Ernest Dowson, is a metaphor for the fleeting and deceptive pleasures of alcohol. The musical explores the devastating effects of addiction on relationships and individuals.

Originally built as the Gallo Opera House (1927) and later remodeled into New Yorker Theatre (1930), Studio 54 has undergone many transformations. CBS acquired it in 1942, hosting iconic TV shows like ‘The Johnny Carson Show’. In the late 1970s, it evolved into the legendary Studio 54 disco nightclub. After its closure in 1986, it served as a rock concert venue until the late 1980s. Remaining vacant until 1998, it became Roundabout Theatre Company's home, starting with the landmark production of Cabaret. Today, Studio 54 stands as the permanent residence of the Roundabout Theatre Company.
