One of them is Jimmy Doyle, a native of New York who is a talented but disenchanted musician seeking his ‘major chord’ in life—music, money, and love. The odds for obtaining all that he wants are decidedly not in his favor. But then, he meets Francine Evans, a young singer fresh off the bus from Philadelphia who is destined for stardom.
