Storyline
When the corn harvest is blighted, Maizy and Beau, two residents of Cobb County, a rural area of the Midwest, are forced to put off their wedding. On the suggestion of her cousin Lulu, the town's whisky distiller, Maizy travels from her hometown to Tampa, Florida to discover a means to save their corn. The intrepid resident of the small town sets out in quest of someone who can determine why the county's maize keeps dying. There she meets a podiatrist or ‘Corn Doctor’, as the sign outside his office reads, a big-city con artist, who then devises a scheme to defraud the helpless farmers.
