    The Hours Opera is set in three different locales – Richmond in 1923, Los Angeles in 1949, and Manhattan at the end of the 20th century. The story revolves around the lives of Virginia Woolf, Laura Brown, and Clarissa Vaughan, who are all connected through Virginia Woolf's novel, Mrs. Dalloway. Each woman's story is told through a distinct musical style, reflecting their dreams and fears. As the opera progresses, their stories overlap, transcending the boundaries of time and space.
