Storyline

A relatively recent addition to the Broadway scene, the Marquis Theatre finds its home on the third floor of the impressive Marriott Marquis Hotel on West 46th Street. Despite its short history, the venue has witnessed a diverse array of musicals leaving a lasting impression since its opening in 1986. Developer John Portman was tasked with integrating a new venue into his designs when the Marriott Marquis was constructed on the site of several razed theatres. Bus: The M20 and M104 buses make stops at West 46th Street and 8th Avenue, while the M7 stops at West 44th Street and 7th Avenue.
