The Story

Nabucco is a classic opera centred around ancient Babylon and the biblical king Nebuchadnezzar and portrays the fall of ancient Jerusalem at his hands. The characters and events, based on biblical scriptures, bring to life a dramatic tale. The opera is split into two parts: the first set around the destruction of the first temple in Jerusalem, and the second in various locations in Babylon.
