    Why watch Jamie Allan's Amaze?

    • After sold-out runs in London and Chicago, earning dazzling reviews for its emotional engagement and blending personal tales with modern tech, this show now brings its "unexplainable" magic to New York’s Off-Broadway stage.
    • The attic of Allan’s parents’ pub is reimagined onstage with a Damien Stanton-designed set, nostalgic props, projection screens, and close-up cams that make every seat feel front row.
    • Allen, who once stumped Penn & Teller on Fool Us, now performs audience-led mind reading, live number predictions, and interactive illusions at every show.
    • Jamie Allen transforms childhood memories like Rubik’s Cubes and school magic kits into high-impact illusions using tech, storytelling, and sleight-of-hand.
    • Directed by Jonathan Goodwin with music by Tommy Bond, this limited summer run at New World Stages blends emotional beats with inventive stagecraft.

Amaze blends Jamie Allen’s youthful nostalgia and high-tech illusions into one engaging narrative. Directed by Jonathan Goodwin, with music by Tommy Bond, the show became Chicago’s highest-selling magic show of all time. Enjoying a critically praised West End run, Amaze now plays Off-Broadway at New World Stages Stage 5. Hailed a “masterclass in magic” (Chicago Tribune) and ‘The Times Critic’s Pick’, magic legends Penn & Teller praised this show’s charm. Audiences can expect clever staging, live camera projections for close-up views, warm lighting, and personal touches, including a tribute to Jamie’s mother. The show leans on narrative-driven illusions that aim for emotional resonance over spectacle.

    Storyline

Amaze is a journey through Jamie Allen’s formative moments in the 1980s, each illusion tied to a childhood memory. From mastering the Rubik’s Cube to predicting calculator sums, the magic unfolds like pages in his own story. You become part of the journey, uncovering how everyday objects turn extraordinary. The focus on Jamie Allan's Amaze Tickets ties into this immersive personal tale. Dive in and see how belief takes shape on stage.
