Storyline
Set in Hill Valley, California, the musical follows Marty McFly, whose family stands in stark contrast to his ambitions. When the disgruntled teenager goes to visit his scientist friend, Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown, he inadvertently gets transported back to 1955 in a time machine built using a modified DeLorean. All hell breaks loose when he gets entangled in the events of his past and starts altering his future by accident. The Winter Garden Theatre is a Broadway theatre located at 1634 Broadway in the Midtown Manhattan neighborhood of New York City. It first opened in 1911, designed by architect William Albert Swasey. The current design dates back to 1922 when it was completely remodeled by Herbert J. Krapp. The auditorium interior is now a New York City landmark and the theatre can seat close to 1,600 people. It hosts large musical productions and is operated by The Shubert Organization. The Winter Garden Theatre, which officially opened in 1911 with the production of La Belle Paree, has been host to numerous legendary Broadway shows since its 1896 construction.
