Come From Away is the story of Gander and how its residents learn about the devastating 9/11 terrorist attacks. Soon after, 38 flights are forced to land at Gander Airport, and the town’s population doubles immediately. While the small Newfoundland town is not equipped to handle all stranded travelers, the local people quickly spring into action. The rest of the musical showcases surprising moments of kindness and warmth as the travelers begin to bond with the inhabitants. Friendships are forged and people make life-long connections with each other during these difficult times.
