Storyline
The musical explores the effects of the characters' desires and journeys by weaving together the stories of numerous Brothers Grimm fairy tales. The major characters are from a variety of fairy tales, including "Little Red Riding Hood", "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Rapunzel," and "Cinderella." A story involving a childless baker and his wife and their attempt to start a family (the original plot of the Grimm Brothers' "Rapunzel"), their encounter with a witch who has put a curse on them, and their encounters with other fictional characters along the way serve as the musical's unifying threads.
