In 2017, Cambridge University students debuted the musical at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Since then, it has been staged by professionals in shows on Broadway, in the West End, and beyond. Storyline
The SIX wives of Henry VIII hit the stage to remix 500 years' worth of historical heartache into an ecstatic celebration of themselves and 21st-century girl power. SIX is a contemporary recreation of the lives of Henry VIII's 6 wives performed in the form of a pop concert. The Queens alternately sing and narrate their stories to determine which of them suffered the most at the hands of Henry and ought to take the main vocal role for the ensemble.
