Why watch New York City Ballet?

    • Step into 2025 with world premieres by Justin Peck and Alexei Ratmansky, alongside Balanchine and Robbins classics like Divertimento No. 15, The Cage, and Scotch Symphony.
    • Celebrate the 100th birthday of dance legend Maria Tallchief with three ballets she originated, including Firebird and the much-anticipated revival of Sylvia: Pas de Deux.
    • For winter’s grand finale, Peter Martins’ Swan Lake sweeps back to the stage for a two-week run, bringing New York City Ballets’s finest to life in this timeless tale of romance and tragedy.
    • Pick your program and embark on a distinct journey with each. Bear witness to the genius of Balanchine, the energy of Stravinsky, or the thrill of new choreography.

Winter 2025 at New York City Ballet pirouettes in with world premieres from Resident Choreographer Justin Peck and Artist in Residence Alexei Ratmansky, plus a treasure trove of Balanchine and Robbins gems. Celebrating what would be dance legend Maria Tallchief’s 100th, iconic roles like Firebird and Sylvia: Pas de Deux dazzle in her honor. And for the final act, brace yourself for Peter Martins’ Swan Lake, returning for two weeks of pure romantic tragedy, showcasing the brilliance of NYCB’s dancers.

    Choose from three enticing programs:

All Balanchine: Experience Balanchine’s brilliance with a trio of classics: Concerto Barocco, Allegro Brillante, and the beautifully crafted Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet. It’s like a ballet buffet!

All Stravinsky: Igor Stravinsky’s music sets the stage for Robbins' The Cage and Concertino, Balanchine’s playful Danses Concertantes, and the classic Stravinsky Violin Concerto.

New Combinations: Honoring Balanchine’s birthday, this lineup debuts Peck’s 25th creation, set to a commissioned score by Dan Deacon, alongside Wheeldon’s From You Within Me and Béjart’s Variations pour une Porte et un Soupir.

Prepare for ballerinas, bold moves, and timeless tales, wrapped in costumes that weave stories as intricate as the steps themselves!
