The story is set in the Pridelands of Africa, in the land ruled by the fair King Mufasa. When his son, Simba, is born, the whole of the Pridelands erupts in joy. But nefarious forces, too, are stirred. For Mufasa’s brother, Scar, the throne gets even farther out of his reach, with the arrival of young Simba. Scar’s manipulations manage to drive Simba away from his rightful throne. He grows up in exile far away, getting into great adventures with his friends Timon, Pumba, and others while Scar terrorizes the Pridelands as the new King. Will Simba ever go back? Will he be able to win back what is rightfully his? Book your The Lion King on Broadway tickets to find out.
