Sections available in Gershwin Theatre

Gershwin Theatre Orchestra

Orchestra

The Orchestra section is the largest and closest to the stage, with 1290 seats and over 70 seats across. It has a center section and two side sections, each split into front and rear halves. Wheelchair-accessible seating for patrons and companions is available on the third floor at the rear of the Orchestra section.

For the best view, avoid the front rows, as the raised stage may cause neck strain. The ideal seating is between rows F and L, thanks to the incline (rake) in the seating arrangement. The Mezzanine overhang starts above row N, which might obstruct views of the stage's upper edge for those seated behind.

Gershwin Theatre Mezzanine

Mezzanine

The Mezzanine is a balcony above the Orchestra and stage, with a slight rake to minimize obstructed views from other patrons' heads. It has a central section and two side sections with aisles, totalling 636 seats, about half the size of the Orchestra.

The Left and Right sections curve around the sides, resembling traditional theatre boxes and offering a side-on view. The front row of the Center section provides the best view of the Mezzanine. Although not as close as the Orchestra, the distance offers a full view of the stage without the need to turn your head, which can be common with closer Orchestra seats. The Mezzanine has designated wheelchair-accessible seating with step-free access for patrons and their companions.
