Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, now known as the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, debuted in 1910 at 205 West 46th Street. After being renamed in 1958 in honor of the well-known performing duo Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, the theater underwent extensive renovations. It has a spacious interior with 1,505 seats and an extravagant design with crimson and gold accents.
