There's a new Lance in town! NSYNC's Joey Fatone shines in & Juliet

Jenifer

Joey Fatone hit the stage as Lance in the musical & Juliet for the first time, marking a return to Broadway after over two decades.

While more widely known as a member of the boyband NSYNC, who debuted in 1995, Fatone is no stranger to theater, having begun his stage career in RENT in 2002. His latest role is Lance Du Bois, a supporting character in the musical & Juliet.

& Juliet is a modern retelling of Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet that reimagines the ending and offers Juliet the chance at a new beginning - one where she shapes her own destiny and finds her voice. The musical adds flair to this tale with Max Martin-penned pop tunes from artists like Katy Perry, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, and Bon Jovi.

Most interestingly, & Juliet also features the wildly popular NSYNC song 'It's Gonna Be Me' and a song from Justin Timberlake called 'Can't Stop the Feeling!' It also includes several songs from NSYNC's contemporaries, such as Britney Spears. While one would assume Fatone would be a shoo-in for his own song, the singer and actor throws us a curveball as Lance, singing a few songs from the Backstreet Boys instead. Talk about being Larger Than Life!
