Little Shop of Horrors has always been a bizarre delight—a cult classic that blends campy horror, sci-fi absurdity, and classic Broadway heart. The Off-Broadway revival at New York’s Westside Theatre doesn’t just honor the show’s legacy; it elevates it with humor, heart, and a cast that understands the assignment.
With book and lyrics by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken, this production retains all the charm of its predecessors while injecting fresh energy into the twisted tale of Seymour Krelborn, a hapless flower shop assistant who stumbles upon a peculiar plant with a sinister appetite. Under Michael Mayer’s sharp direction, the show zips along at a perfect pace, finding that sweet spot between zany comedy and emotional sincerity.

An Amazing Show!!!
Everything went very smoothly—the staff at the ticket office were very friendly. A peaceful atmosphere, comfortable seats.
The best part was the show itself. We saw *Aladdin*, and honestly, even if it had lasted two more hours, it wouldn't have been a problem at all.

It was a fantastic show. The music and singers were unbelivable! Unfotunately small children sit behind us. They were talking all the time. It was very disturbing. As I knew little children are not permitted on the show.
